Reporting a bug

Tell me what happened, what you expected instead, and the app version and build. You can find both at the bottom of the Passport tab.

“Contact support” inside the app opens a draft email with the version, build, iOS version, and device model already filled in. Nothing from your travel history is included.

Common questions

Is Michi free?

Yes. Michi is free, with no in-app purchases.

Do I need an account?

No. There’s nothing to sign up for. If you turn on iCloud Sync, your map syncs through your own iCloud account.

Does Michi know where I am?

No. Michi never asks for your location. You add places yourself, or import them from the date and place saved in your photos.

What does photo import read?

Only the date and place saved in each photo, never the pictures themselves. Nothing is saved until you’ve reviewed it. More in the privacy policy

Where is my travel history kept?

On your iPhone. With iCloud Sync on, a private copy also lives in your own iCloud. Michi has no server of its own, so I never see your data.

Which iPhones does it work on?

Any iPhone with iOS 26 or later.
